"Gut Instinct"

I remember moving to Ocean City in April 2006.  It was hard to just pick up with the girls and move but we did it. Once Samantha and Roseann were settled I breathed a sigh of relief until my meeting with the child study team.  I figured once we moved and Sam had the help she needed I could take a break and relax a bit. The decisions were all made we were in OC, however the OC child study team decided to best help Samantha she should be held back a year... I thought I was hearing things when they reccomended that.  Didnt they know she was dyslexic and all the studies out of Yale and Harvard stated the worst thing you can do to a dyslexic child is to hold them back a year. I firmly held my ground saying no  listening to that little  gut feeling parents have while in my head praying to God I was making the right decision... I'm so happy I did and I'm so proud of Samantha...I've come to rely a lot on that gut feeling...
