Lite Rock salutes Ocean City sixth-grader Samantha Ravelli. 11 year-old Samantha was the inspiration for a bill that passed the New Jersey Assembly last week aimed at improving teaching practices for children with dyslexia. Dyslexia is a neurological condition that makes it difficult to learn to read and write. Samantha, who is afflicted with dyslexia, and her mother have been at the forefront of a movement to raise awareness about the condition. Samantha even testified before the State Assembly last November on the issue. South Jersey Assemblyman Nelson Albano was the bills sponsor, which now moves on to the State Senate.
