A Special Thank You

I would like to thank some special people who have helped me along these past four years on the incredible journey into dyslexia and reading disabilities. First I would like to thank God for opening all these doors and gently pushing me through them.Once I was ready to listen it all came together. I would like to thank my two beautiful daughters Roseann and Samantha.  Roseann you have always been so helpful and supportive of our daily advocacy.  Your are an incredible big sister.  You have always made sure Sams needs were met before yours.   You may think we don,t always see you but we do.  Samantha your are are such an determined young lady.  You stood up infront of the world and held your head high all in an effort to help others. You are a great little sister.  I'm so proud of you both. My brother Tom Quirk.  You are such a great Uncle. Always trying to figure things out.  giving all you had to give for the Sammie and Roseann. We love you. My mother in law Audrey and Joe.  Audrey you have always supported us and read and learned all you could to figure out what was going on.Helping us when you could doing whatever was necessary for your granddaughter Joe Quarello if you had not pointed me in the right direction I would never had found Assemblyman Nelson Albano. You always quietly listen then offer your views along with your wisdom and knowledge. Colleen and Phylis what would I be without you both.  Carefully walking be through the hard times keeping me focused.  I'mm so blessed to have you both in my life. Assemblyman Albano and Johnathan,  Assemblyman you took up my fight as if it was your own.  Never wavering,  always slowly pushing forward always directing and teaching me how to move when the time was right.  The children of NJ and the future children of NJ will always be indebted to you.  I always laugh when I think in the beginning we were not even in your District but you did not care you wanted to help. Johnathan I smile when I think of you.  You have a wealth of knowledge for a young man.  always calming me and explaining the system,  the steps and reassuring me it will get done.  Assemblyman Milam you joined the team and fought as if you have always been there. Senator Van Drew and Allison.  There are no words  to express my gratitude.  Senator you put Samantha and myself at ease speaking with Samantha and always making sure she was comfortable infront of the media.Taking the time to represent us because you believed in the children of NJ. We will always support you.  Diane Damico if it was not for you Diane we may never have started down this path.  I had no idea how many children were out there like Sam till you wrote all your stories for the Press. You pushed me in the right directions always giving me something to think about.  Giving me all the right questions when my mind went blank. running stories to make sure it stayed in the spotlight.  You have become a true friend.  Ronee Groff what can I say.  You worked so quietly behind the scenes making sure we got into the right school district. Explaining how hard this road I was choosing to go down would be.  If it was not for people like you paving the way for the past 25 years on disabilities I would never had been able to accomplish what I have. Eric Averdson the OC Sentinel and Ann Richardson for keepiong the sotries coming in the local papers.  Showing an interest in the children of NJ.  Joann Cietoa if you were not so understanding switching my days off always working with me I would never have had the time to advocate.  You have become a dear friend and I thank you. dr. richard Selznick,  Mary and Aris from the cooper Learning center in voorheese.  You are where it all begain.  You diagnossed samantha and expained what was needed.  You cared and moved Sam slowly into reading. Never rushing always praising. I also love you book the shut down Learner very informative.St. Vincent De Paul School.  thank you for caring so much and allowing us to educate Sam whatever way was necessary.
